Conceptual Photoshoot - Dreaming of Fiji

Capturing the story of a young woman torn between her love for nature and her entanglement in a fragmented digital world required a visual story that merged self-exploration with a critical lens on modern media consumption. The challenge was to reflect themes of identity, culture, and societal observations while maintaining an intimate and playful tone.

Through set design and photography, I crafted a series that juxtaposes vibrant, tropical-inspired visuals with subtle nods to the disconnection of a digital existence. The photos weave self-reflection and playfulness into a critique of how media consumption mirrors our inner world. This project is also a personal tribute to my cousin and muse, Renea, whose radiant presence and profound cultural insights inspired every frame. Her authenticity shines through as the heart of this storytelling.
