"Solvent" Horror Feature Film

Solvent: A Descent into Obsession and Horror
Solvent follows a team of experts investigating Nazi documents in an Austrian farmhouse, only to uncover a hidden secret buried within its walls. As American expatriate Gunner S. Holbrook becomes consumed by the mystery, his sanity unravels, forcing him to confront an insatiable evil before it drains the life out of him.

My work on Solvent took place in Vienna, Austria, where I contributed as a Prop Designer and VFX Artist during pre-production and as 1st Assistant Director (1st AD) on set.
As Prop Designer, I crafted key visual elements that reinforced the film’s eerie atmosphere, including a custom-built mouse trap, intricate micro shots of spider webs, and aged photograph and computer screen visuals. In VFX, I enhanced the film’s unsettling visuals, bringing its supernatural horror to life by designing and constructing a custom blood-splattering machine tailored specifically for the film. As 1st AD, I helped coordinate production, ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient execution on set.

Through these roles, I played a part in shaping Solvent’s dark and immersive world, contributing to its recognition at major horror film festivals, including Nightmares Film Festival and Horror Underground Film & Screenplay Festival, where it won Best Feature Film awards.
